The Myth On Sun Causing Skin Cancer

"The sunscreen industry doesn't want you to know that your body actually needs sunlight exposure because that realization would mean lower sales of sunscreen products."

Our body has the ability to self-regulate every natural and organic thing that goes into it. The same goes for too much sunlight exposure. I live in a country very near to the Equator and there are plenty of sunlight throughout the year. In my younger days, I had a lot of activities (being involved in the Scout Movement) in the outdoor exposing to the hot sunlight. If the claim on sunlight is harmful and true, I would have been suffering skin cancer, no?

The truth is you only get a bit of tan. That's all. And I didn't suffer any illness throughout those days. Never took a day off from school for many years (and even now - from work).

I just came across Dr. Michael Holick's revelation on why the deficiency of Vitamin D is the cause of numerous illnesses. Just thought I'll share this important knowledge with you.

Contrary to what is being fed to us through most mass media, we need sunlight exposure. And sunlight exposure is the only reliable way to generate vitamin D in your own body. It is nearly impossible for us to get adequate amounts of vitamin D from your diet.

From another source, Bragg, I found that the best time to expose yourself to sunlight is the early morning sun, and the late evening sun.

Being indoor sitting by the window thinking you are getting sunlight does not provide the same effect. The healing rays of natural sunlight (that generate vitamin D in your skin) cannot penetrate glass. So you don’t generate vitamin D when sitting in your car or home.

I urge you to download and read this revealing, eye-opener exclusive interview with Dr. Michael Holick.
