Myth: A "Good" Doctor Gets You Well Instantly

I overheard one friend recommending to another friend who was sick, to go to a certain family doctor who was supposedly "good" and could get her well almost instantly. Apparently, this friend who was recommending her doctor, often "get well the next day" after taking some strong medication prescribed by the doctor. I cringed when I heard the conversation that was going on about how "good" this doctor was.

What is happening here? Perhaps you can identify. The last time I was sick years ago, I went to this doctor who was supposedly "good". Being ignorant of my health options then, I told the doctor that I needed to get well quick but didn't want to get drowsy. The doctor told me that he will give me something "light" and I shouldn't be feeling drowsy.

After taking only one dose of the medicine, my head was spinning and my eyes were about to pop out of my eye sockets. And the next two nights following I had serious insomnia and only managed a wink in 48 hours!! What poison has the doctor given me!!?? That was the last time I ever trusted any doctor.

Unscrupulous doctors freely prescribed very strong drugs (sometimes expensive) so that you "get well quickly". Unsuspecting patients think that this doctor is "good" because they get well almost instantly. But what the patients don't realize is that these drugs are really just some very strong chemicals that SUPPRESS symptoms rather than do any healing. These symptoms would resurface later as a side effect.

These drugs are slow poisons in the body and over time cause other serious health problems. They weaken the body's immune system and soon you'll find that you keep falling sick and having to go back to the same "good" doctor for he's the only one who can quickly make you well again. This becomes a cycle and you become dependent on the drugs that this "good" doctor prescribed. Do you see the destructive pattern here?

Since my eye-popping incident with that doctor long ago, I have decided to take my health into my own hands. I learned natural healing and find that it is a million times safer and effective; and best of all, without any side effects. I have a few bottles of quality vitamins that I take regularly and keep handy wherever I go. Whenever I feel a little bit under the weather, I just take a slightly higher dosage and I would be well again. I have never found a need to ever go back to a doctor again.

Before I learned about natural healing, my daughter used to see a family doctor almost every month. Needless to say, medical bills were always very high. Since I "fired" the doctor, my daughter had never had any need to go back to the doctor. I have since learned to nurse my girl back to health, building up her immune system with proper nutrition that is safe and natural. Now, who's the good doctor? SD.

Myth: Underarm Anti-Perspirants End Embarrassment

Do you really think that underarm deodorant can help keep you dry and smelling good? It might but it may also do far more damage than you know. Well, hear and heed this before you roll-on another layer on your underarm.

Perspiration is a very natural way for our body system to (1) cool down; and (2) excrete toxins. It is so important that we allow our sweat glands to work its natural course as an outlet to excrete the toxins. If there is an odor from your perspiration, it most likely mean that your body is in a very toxic condition due to an unclean colon or liver. So why do you punish your skin with more layers of anti-perspirants?

Underarm anti-perspirant may give you a temporary relief but cause long-term adverse effects. Most anti-perspirants in the market contain aluminum salts which block the secretions from sweat glands.

What are the ingredients in anti-perspirants?

An active ingredient in most brands, is aluminum chlorohydrate (or aluminum zirconium chlorohydrate). It reacts with proteins in the sweat to form a gel that blocks the glands from producing more sweat, thus reducing the perspiration. When underarm sweat is blocked and not allowed to be excreted, it gathers in the area and become toxic. This may lead to breast problems or even breast cancer. Aluminum has been associated with brain disorders, including Alzheimer's Disease.

Read the labels of the ingredients on your anti-perspirant deodorant and you will find some or all of the following:

  • Triclosan gets absorbed into your body through your skin when it is applied. Prolonged use of this ingredient may damage the liver.
  • Parabens are also known as hydro-benzoates which is a common ingredient in cosmetics for their anti-bacterial characteristics. However, it can also be a cause of allergy or skin problems.
  • Alcohol and fragrance can cause skin irritations that become problematic later on.

So, what's the solution?

Here are some tips to reduce body odor:
  • Reduce your meat intake. This is one of the main contributors of constipation and an unhealthy colon.
  • Get on a colon detoxifying program to remove the root problem (if colon is the problem, usually bad breath is also present)
  • Take regular shower or wash often, where possible
  • Wear loose cotton clothing which will help you to stay cool
  • Removing underarm hair may also help to reduce bacterial growth

If you must use a deodorant, look for one that is aluminum-free (which will be rare); or those with natural herbal ingredient. A few drops of essential oil may also be a good alternative.

Next time you want to roll-on, think what is more important to you ... to smell good, or to be healthy. SD.
